download free avg online from their website… dont use with other “active” anti-virus or anti-spyware programs, they will counter-work eachother creating holes in the protection

it is better to use an all-in-one than 3 different ones. your local ads might have free after rebates. free anti virus software is good but i don’t not recommend shareware. best paid versions below.

I have been very satisfied by “SUPERantispyware.” It is unobtrusive, which most are not, easy to understand, and it works! Internet explorer bar warned not to download it. but I had had it before installed by a friend who is an expert. My new machine came with norton, but not only was it annoying, it did not do the job. If you have anything, remove them.
Download Spybot , download Defender, restart computer, then run Spybot. THESE 2 PROGRAMS ARE EXCELLENT. FREE
Virus Protection– 2 programs of virus protection will conflict with each other and will actually cancel out the protection. .
Running Spybot and Defender, with EITHER Avast or Avg (great Free virus protection programs ) will keep a computer in good working condition. FREE
Windows Defender and Spybot are 2 really good Spyware Programs.
